How does Royal Entourage's ability to exhaust enemy legends interact with different legendary units (Daughter of the Void, The Boss, Blind Monk, and Lux)?
Answered under Unleashed Rules FAQ and Clarifications
I can't give card-specific outcomes for Daughter of the Void, The Boss, Blind Monk, or Lux because their card texts are not provided. Based on the Core Rules and the text of ("When you play me, ready or exhaust a legend."), the ability will put a triggered effect on the chain when you play ; when that effect is finalized you choose a legend and choose to either ready it or exhaust it. The following ruling explains the general resolution rules and how common interactions would be handled; to resolve exact outcomes for each named legend I need each legend's full text.
When you play , its ability triggers and becomes a chain item per the triggered-ability structure rules . During finalization you choose a legend to be affected and choose whether to ready it or exhaust it. If you choose to exhaust a legend that is already Exhausted, nothing additional happens . If the chosen legend is removed, moved, or otherwise becomes an illegal target before the ability resolves, the instruction to ready/exhaust it may be partially or wholly unexecutable; follow the partial-resolution rules (execute what can be done, ignore what cannot) . If any replacement effects would modify the event of that unit being exhausted or readied, those replacement effects apply and inherit modifications (for example, if a replacement says “when you would exhaust, do X instead,” that modification applies to the exhaustion event) . Because I do not have the card texts for Daughter of the Void, The Boss, Blind Monk, or Lux, I cannot say whether any of those legends have abilities that change whether they can be exhausted, or have triggered/replace effects that change the outcome; provide their exact texts for a definitive ruling.
